Juniper sage is perfect for when you need to hit the reset button. The best times to practice Juniper Smudging is when you are feeling energetically depleted, dull or unmotivated.

Traditionally, Juniper is used by many cultures to create a safe and sacred environment, and ward off negative influences.

Though burning juniper gives off only minimal visible smoke, this smoke is highly aromatic with a crisp lemony scent.

Selenite is a powerful cleansing stone. It can be placed on a window sill where it remains charged by the sun and the moon.

Smudging is a ceremony tied to many indigenous cultures for purifying or cleansing the soul of negative thoughts of a person or place. It involves the burning of white sage and other sacred herbs or holy woods such as Palo Santo.

The Kimology Experience

Not just a bunch of sage, these smudge sticks are next level for their beauty and added floral pieces!

How to Use

Using a smudge stick is a simple yet powerful ritual for clearing energy, setting intentions, and creating a sacred space. Here’s how:

1. Set an Intention

Before lighting your smudge stick (often sage, palo santo, or other herbs), take a moment to set your intention. What do you want to clear, invite, or manifest?

2. Light the Smudge Stick

  • Hold the smudge stick at a 45-degree angle.
  • Light the tip using a match or candle.
  • Let it burn for about 20 seconds, then gently blow out the flame—allowing it to smolder and produce smoke.

3. Cleanse Yourself & Your Space

  • Yourself: Waft the smoke around your body, starting at your feet and moving upward. Use a feather or your hand to guide the smoke.
  • Your Space: Walk around your space, allowing the smoke to flow into corners, doorways, and any areas that feel heavy or stagnant.

4. Focus on Breath & Mindfulness

As the smoke moves, take deep breaths and visualize any negative energy dissolving.

5. Extinguish Safely

  • When finished, gently press the smudge stick into a fireproof bowl, sand, or an abalone shell to fully extinguish it.
  • Never leave burning embers unattended.

Smudging can be done as often as you feel called to—especially before meditation, breathwork, or after a long, heavy day.

Kim's Wellness Tips

I'd love to see every practitioner out there smudging their rooms before their next client. I love to set fresh intentions and energy with my smudge stick - I love to smudge after the morning school routine *LOL*
